Welcome to the Battle Play Expansion for Total War: Rome: The Board Game. Using this extension is equivalent to pressing the "Play Battle" button in the video game. You will now fight a battle in which you set up your army in a formation and fight four exciting combat phases. You can use Battle Play in conjunction with the main game or compete in standalone battles and tournaments. With this expansion, the combat system becomes more strategic, forward planning and cunning tactics are a must, with a dynamic battlefield environment influenced by cleverly timed Tactica maps.
